ignition electrodes and ionization probes

Ignition electrodes
Used for the ignition of gaseous fuel in gas combustion equipment, which works on the principle of ignition by high-voltage flashover. The central electrode must not be permanently positioned in the flame. The ignition electrode and the ionization probe are usually positioned together in the combustion chamber of the gas combustion equipment - gas-fired boilers, instantaneous water heaters, gas ranges, cookers etc. Ignition electrodes can be used as ionisation probes and vice versa. However their layout should always be respected, i.e. the ignition electrode must be out of the flame and only the central electrode in the flame. Ignition electrodes and ionisation probes are manufactured of high-quality materials. The insulator is made of the OXAL ceramics with high Al2O3 content. Characteristic features of this material are high mechanical strength and resistance to thermal and electrical load (electric strength of the insulator is 18kV). The central electrode is made of a special fire-proof material (kanthal) which is resistant to high temperatures and electrochemical corrosion.

Ionisation probes
are used as combustion sensors in gas combustion equipment. The central electrode is positioned permanently in the flame. The other parts of the probe must be positioned in the burner space so they can be cooled naturally.

Ignition electrodes and ionisation probes manufactured by isostatic pressing and grinding are intended mostly for boiling equipment, and can be delivered with a connector or with an integral high-voltage cable dia. 1.65/1.8 with teflon or polypropylene insulation.

The most popular group of the ignition electrodes and ionisation probes intended mostly for gas heaters. The group is characteristic with a uniform diameter of the ceramic insulator 6.6 mm and 9 mm. The central electrode diameter is as a rule 1.6/1.9/2.5/3.0 mm.

The group of ignition electrodes, where flashover takes place between the central and side electrodes.

Ignition electrodes and ionisation probes, which design follows the spark plug insulators. They are intended above all for older series of burners and for industrial equipment burners.

Ignition electrodes and ionisation probes with an atypical electrode holder, which enables the installation of these products in a confined burner installation space.
